I have realised while reading a thread here today this is something im entitled to -doh! Have been recieving DLA at higher rate for 2 years and Incapacity. The incapacity was noted on the system but not DLA. That has now been altered and the lady on the phone sad as it was probablly their error and i have proof of the DLA start day i should recieve back pay for the 2 years. if not - 3 months.
But how much is it? Have looked through old articles and seems to be £90 soething last year. Im a married couple with dependants with hubby working full time.
Any knowledge much appreciated!

Extra money for disabled people
You may be able to get extra money included in your tax credits if you, or your partner or child, has a serious sight problem or other disability.
1. You can have a disability element included in your WTC if you (or your partner) are a disabled worker.
The person working must:
have a disability that reduces their work prospects
and
get a qualifying benefit, eg Disability Living Allowance, or have recently been getting a qualifying benefit, eg Incapacity Benefit
or
become sick or disabled while in work and be eligible under the fast track route.
2. You can have a severe disability element included in your Working Tax Credit, if you or your partner get the highest rate of DLA care component or higher rate Attendance Allowance.
3. You can have a disabled child element included in your Child Tax Credit for each child who gets DLA or is registered blind.
4. You can have a severely disabled child element included in your Child Tax Credit for each child who gets the highest rate of DLA care component.
Something I found
This also http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/MoneyTaxAndBenefits/BenefitsTaxCreditsAndOtherSupport/TaxCredits/DG_4015483 which includes maximum rates for each added benefitOne day I might be more organised...........

I received working tax credits when I was working, my partner is disabled and unable to work. I have since had to give up to care for him full time.Alliance & Leicester.
Paid up 14/04/07 Full amount + interest + costs0 -
specsappeal - You can get the severe disability element (SDE) of Working tax credit if you are in receipt of Disability Living Allowance (Highest Rate CARE Component) or Attendance Allowance (Higher Rate).
You are not entitled to the SDE if you are receiving the higher rate MOBILITY component of DLA. The notes accompanying the application are quite clear on this and if you ticked the box claiming you were on higher rate care component of DLA when it is actually the mobility component then you are going to have an overpayment. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Edit: I checked https://www.entitledto.co.uk and it seems that I don't qualify for this allowance, probably because my partner and I earn too much.0
