Well, after much mind tormenting Im expecting my electric piano to arrive today. Im so nervous. I did try some out at the local music shop and whilst they are all around the same price ish, Im probably mad here, but I wanted one near to an acoustic as I could and Ive chosen the KORG SP170S from Umbrella Music online. Locally it was £570 once you added on the stand, the pedal, headphones, bench, delivery and so on and only a years guarantee! but online its £429 with a 5 year warranty. It says 3 years on site but they actually give 5 years as a special offer.

It doesnt have all the buttons and stuff the Kaiwa and Yamaha has but it sounds more like a real piano to me and thats really what Im aiming for. I dont want to add lots of other sounds and strings and so on - just play a piano. Fingers crossed I actually manage ok. Im going for 6 free piano lessons they give on line before you go to a local teacher.0 -
Good luck with the lessons. The piano should give you years of pleasure.0
