Fancy Feedback Messages

One of my buyers has left me feedback today and it is all in a fancy pattern, rolls and swirls, it looks really eyecatching, is there an easy way to do this ?, obviously all the buttons are available on the keyboard, but it would take an age to press all of them just for feedback, I was wondering if there was a stencil ?

just copy it off one you like and save it to word0

This started with people who used ASCII characters to create pictures/images.
The easiest way to do it is to simply find a design you like (either from other feedback or from ASCII Art pages) and cut and paste it into notepad and save it somewhere on your computer.
There's a few example designs here: http://reviews.ebay.com.au/ASCII-Art-Used-In-Feedback_W0QQugidZ10000000000106326
If you want to go further than that and design your own, take a look at ASCII Art pages, as they will give you ideas as to what you can create, what characters are available and the kinds of techniques used. With practice you soon get used to which characters to use to form particular shapes/designs, etc.0 -
Thank you both, I had thought about C & P but was worried about copyrights, I will have a look at the art pages and see about designing my own."Dogs come when they are called. Cats take a message and get back to you" :j :j0

I think for just using it on eBay feedback you should be ok. There is only a limited number of ASCII characters that you can use, and eBay limits the length of your message. As a result there is a very high probability of many people creating exactly the same design purely by chance, which means that I doubt any such design could ever be copyrighted.
However, copying 'proper' ASCII Art designs is a whole other matter and a big no no.0 -
Don't do it. It looks horribly naff and unprofessional.
Stick to normal text if you want to be taken seriously.0 -
i would agree with Avoriaz, it is a bit naff really.0

I think as a buyer there is no problem using them, and IMHO some can be fun (but many are, as you say, naff).
Leaving them as a seller however is bad and I would totally agree with you on the unprofessional front.0 -
Personally I use both methods, for buyers/sellers
But I think the art ones stand out more and get noticed!Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure0 -

I was looking to use it as a buyer, which isn't really that often as I sell more than I buy (thank goodness!!) and I will stay clear of the naff ones !!"Dogs come when they are called. Cats take a message and get back to you" :j :j0
