How to stop my husbands credit rating?
giggle27
My husband has asperger's syndrome and one of his cry's for help seems to be withdrawing cash on his credit card to his limit and wasting it all on slot machines.
I have been told I can apply to get his credit rating blocked/suspended so that he cant apply for anymore credit but am having trouble finding out how to do this.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
This issue is destroying our marriage!
Hope someone can help???

Is your husband willing to let you take over all of his financial affairs?
If he is then he could have you appointed under a Property and Financial Affairs Lasting Power of Attorney.

If he's not willing and you believe he lacks the mental capacity to make financial decisions you can apply to the Court of Protection to have them appoint a deputy to manage his financial affairs. You need to think very carefully about this as may not be well received by your husband and could damage your relationship further.
There are details about mental capacity and the court of protection on the direct.gov website here:
