Garlik incorrect info - should i be worried?

i only signed up to get points but it sent me an email today so i checked it and it says within the last month i have made a connection with someone
same surname but unknown first name
the source is companies house
and under further info is the name of a limited company
all unknown
i know garlik is unreliable but surely unreliable as in it doesnt have all the info, but it shouldnt have incorrect info should it

Garlik has lots of incorrect info for me. They seem to try and match anything to anything and if it comes up trumps, they automatically assume it is a direct connection and flag it up. I was interested to see how much accurate information Garlik could find out about me. Answer is, not a lot.

I had concerning info too - It says I am a director of a company I've never heard of, and therefore have connections with 50+ people I've never heard of!

Heap of rubbish for me and DH. They have my mothers surname wrong and dont even have DH's! Have us connected with loads of people ive never even heard of! Total waste of time if you ask me.

There is an actress with my name and a dressage champion, so I'm on loads of websites.

Pretty much useless (apart from the free credit report and rating).

My free credit report had lots of information missing which is readily available from Equifax and Experian. The credit rating is just a made up number and has no real use.

I am also the director of a company and have connections to people I have never heard of. It did get me really worried. I have a fairly uncommon name!

It is a relief to know it is not just me and actually they are just rubbish!

Just a quick question are all of you that have had incorrect information on the free trial?

Starting to consider that it might be a slight scam in getting us worried so we all subscribe in future!!

Just another thought did any of you do a check with companies houe? I did Company I am supposedly involved with was dissolved over a year ago!

Whilst not a big fan of garlik, it is worrying the connections they make. I would do the normal rounds of checking the standard credit ref companies (experian and the like) regularly. I do it about every six months just to make sure.
