Made counter offer by current provider

I have switched to Npower online 24 which is:-
3.162/3.32(inc VAT) and daily standing charge of 35.40 for gas

8.89P/9/33 and daily standing charge of 35.50

Scottish are offering
20.28 for the first 225 and than 10.251 and 7.751 for the first 670 and than 3.481, sounds cheaper but not sure if its worth it.

My energy use from the 25/10/10 to 22/10/11 was
5647 for leccy and 20223 for the gas.

Just wondering whether I should take them up on the offer

Work it out!
For example, for electricity, this is:
Assuming the first 225 is per month, that's the first 2700 units on expensive, the next on cheap.
2700*20.28 =547
(5647-2700)*10.2 = 300

So, 848 or so for the electricity.
The other is simply 9.33*5647 = 526 plus 365*35.50, or 128 pounds.
Total of 660 or so.

However - if the 225 is per quarter, as might be more reasonable, that leads to different figures.

Npower gas is 3.162p x 20223=£639.45 plus
35.40p standing charge x 365 days = £129.21 = £768.66 plus vat

Elec is 8.89p x 5647 =£502.02 plus
35.50 standing charge x 365 = £129.75 = £631.77 plus vat

You dont say what what company scottish gas or Scottish Power or Scottish and Southern

If the Scottish you refer to is Scottish Power, from my own experience I would be very wary unless you have it writing.

that first rate u quote is only 225 per quarter on 670 on gas so per year will be 2680 gas 900 for lecki will be ether oes 17 or fixed april 2013

also need to take into acount sp 1680 df discount and 15.75 online compared to npower 100 quid or dd dis aftere 12 months
