Is my House insured?

Hi I hope some one can help me please. I had a request from Blemain Finance some months ago to let them have a copy of my Building Insurance which I stupidly ignored, consequently they have charged me over £100 which they say is for Buildings insurance. What I would like to know, is my house insured twice as I already have buildings insurance and what happens if I need to make a claim, and should i cancel the insurance that i have any help would be appreciated, thanks

  • I take it you have a mortgage with them - if you can prove that you had cover all along they MIGHT look at refunding part of the premium charged.
I would stick with the insurance you have bought - at least you know what the cover is.
  • Thanks for your reply,I will get a letter off to them, with proof of my insurance.I did think about doing that but just wanted some one elses advice first. thanks again
