Hi All.
As i had success with claiming back my bank loan PPi i thought i would have a stab with the credit cards. So far i sent 3 letters on the 7th Nov, bearing in mind they probably might take til the 11th Nov to get there.
One to Barclaycard, one to MBNA/ virgin card and the last one to Egg card.
On the 15th Nov i got a response from Barclaycard acknowledging my complaint with a rough time limit to investigate/respond.
Mnba.. nothing at all so far.
Egg card, nothing either and i'm a shade worried since barclaycard brought them out that i actually sent it to the wrong address although, wouldn't post be pasted on?
So, what i'm wondering is, is this normal? Do most people here hear nothing until they either get a yes/no answer? or do they get a letter to actually acknowledge the receipt of complaint?
What are the normal timescales?
Thanks!

Hi there
Well done on your success!
Hi there
Normally they have 8 weeks, so can take anytime up to there, but with extra time the FSA gave banks permission for, it currently stands at 12 weeks.
However, if you've not received any correspondence at all within a week or 2 of sending your letters, give them a ring to make sure they are received, or if you posted by signed for recorded delivery, this should confirm delivery status on Track and Trace Via Royal Mail website.
Good luck.:)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0
