 just fallen for a scam from cheapfastloans.uk promised the earth but after I stupidly paid £425 upfront! anyone heatd of them? what do I do?
£425?????????
Maybe the top of their website will give a clue to what sort of company this is:
Avail Hassle Free Funds For Your Small Needs
It's obviously a foreign setup (probably Indian) which is plain within 10 seconds on the website.
How much were you hoping to borrow that made laying out £425 seem like a good idea?
Two more questions spring to mind.
Firstly, how come you have £425 available when you're looking for a loan from what is evidently a bottom feeder company?
Secondly, how come you have suddenly found out that it is a scam?"There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". O S Nock0 -
A WHOIS reveals this:
Domain name:
cheapfastloans.co.uk
Registrant:
N Ansari
Registrant type:
Non-UK Individual
Registrant's address:
105 Hamlet Court Road
Westcilffe on Sea
SS0 7ES
United Kingdom
And going into Google Streetview on that address reveals the office of https://www.firstlineloans.co.uk.
But the cheapfastloans website may put your mind at rest:Individuals who need cash promptly may perhaps find it uncertain to avail a pecuniary aid. However, when you require funds instantaneously, and cannot wait in long queues for your finance application, then, cheap fast loans can be a useful source of cash. Our fast cheap loans can provide you with the pecuniary espouse for you.Can I help?0 -
Jeez! They really need to add 'avoiding scams' to the national curriculum. Teach a generation of kids how to spot scams and they could be gone overnight one day!0

425 quid! Are you sure you weren't giving THEM a loan?0

Phone your card company IMMEDIATELY.
Tell me you didn't pay by bank transfer or Western Union etc?
Ukash is another payment method now used by the Indian loan scam companies to scam people.
£425 would suggest that the OP has probably paid the following type of fees to them, or variants on them.
1/ A set up fee,
followed by
2/ A legal fee
and possibly then a further
3/ Funds release fee
before finally the penny has dropped it's a scam.0 -
Its not nice reading these constant posts of people getting ripped off. The sad thing is it is easily avoidable.
I guess when you are desperate enough for a loan and keep getting declined, your common sense goes out of the window when someone actually says yes, and you send off the "fees" without even considering it could be a scam.
If I were in charge of law making I would order a manhunt on these scammers, and cut their hands off when they are caught.0 -
LOL what a penguin, why on earth would you pay 400+ if you need a loan?"We want the finest wines available to humanity, we want them here, and we want them now!"0

Anyway, lets hope that £425 wasn't from a payday loan company...0 -
