Credit Card Robbery!

Options
This is a story for others to be aware of as much as me looking for advice on whether I can get my money back.

All the following transactions took place on my VISA Debit Card.

I went to Albefeira recently on a stag do and made the customary trip to a strip club after an all day drinking session. I bought some drinks using Chip and Pin having checked the price etc as usual - everything was ok.

I went for a lap dance with a stunning bird for £20 - going rate - and after being led through a maze and hearing 5 doors shut behind me I remember being a bit concerned about how far away away I was being lead. Anyway, I settled down with a drink and enjoyed myself - as you do! :j

I chip and pinned again - for a price we agreed. 15 mins later a man rushed in said time was up and I was "pestered" into chip and pinning again. So I did. The machine was thrust under my nose and the price was covered up. This happened a 3rd time. When I checked the third time I saw the value in the machine was £500 after moving the blokes hand off the macine!!

I left having a row and got thrown out. It was 5am and I was sooo drunk but I was worried about the 2nd transaction I didnt check.

When I got home I saw I'd been stung for £350. The exact same happened to my mate.

I got home, asked if VISA could do anything and they said as I chip and pinned it was my fault. They refused to look into the transaction or record the companies conduct on their system.

The fact I was seduced, drunk, mislead, mispriced and duped by 2 people when I was in no fit state didnt seem to count for anything.

I've wrote it off but is there any way of getting my money back?

This Club obviously does it all the time ripping people off for £1000's!

Keep your wits about you at all times fella's!

  • Not only is cash a much safer way of knowing how much you're paying, but you can also slip it into a particular part of the underwear for her safe keeping. ;)

Because you paid through chip and pin and you did enter the pin for each transaction, it is more of a case for their local trading standards or police rather than the card company.

I'm sure that in future you'll be sticking to orange juice on the boys holidays? :rotfl:

... Maybe a safer suggestion is to keep yours hands in your pockets or even better SIT on them.

If people could get away with saying they were too drunk to notice what they were buying, where would it all end ?
