When you make a purchase on a credit card, is there a period where interest isn't applied?
Eg if you buy something on 1st Dec then pay your balance in full when it's next due on 30th Dec, is any interest applied or is there a set amount of time before the purchase starts attracting interest?

if you pay the balance showing on your statement by the 'pay by ' date each and every month then you pay no interest; often this can be 20-50 days away from tha date of the purchase
so in your example , if you spend on the 1st Dec, wait until you receive the next statement which will show the purchase and then pay by the due date showing on the statement0
