I am in the process of being made redundant and just need a little advice...when I was informed that my position was being made redundant me and another colleague whos job was also affected where dragged into the managers office and informed of what was happening, after being informed we were told to go back to work, the manager then informed all the other colleagues what was happening, now I have read somewhere that other colleagues should not be informed of what is happening intill the people who are affected have had a one to one consultation... however this never happened is there anything I can do about this???

I was told yesterday mine and another college job positions are been made redundant. They told us together in a meeting room, then the manager informed the rest of office via email. However im not having my one on one consultation with my manager till tomorrow afternoon

However when they told me and my college yesterday he did allow us to go home early straight after to get our thoughts together etc then it was back to normal work today.
I just dont want to be there now, i just think instead of sitting here working for someone who is getting rid of me when I could be out there looking for another job0
