Sims 3 Problem

Options
I play Sims 3 on my laptop. The specs exceed those that are required to be able to play the game.

Lately I've had a problem where some objects have become "see-through", mostly sinks.

I've taken a screenshot so you can see:

Screenshot.jpg

It's the bit which is see-through on the kitchen counter, where you can see through to the floor.

At first I thought it might a glitch with my lot so I tried one of my other lots and it's the same.

I'm also having a problem where, when preparing food, the food isn't being shown on the counters. It's "invisible", which is making me wonder if it's a counter issue too, but I've tried different counters and it's still the same.

This is only a new thing. It used to be fine. My graphic drivers are up-to-date.

I've also cleared the downloads and custom content folder as I thought it might be a download that was causing it, but it's still the same.

I'm at a loss of what else to do apart from re-installing but I only want to do that as a last resort. Does anyone have any other suggestions of things I could try?

I play the game in full-screen mode. Not sure if that's relevant or not.:o

Thank you.

Have you tried rolling back your graphics drivers to an older version? A lot of the time, AMD and nvidia tweak their drivers to make their cards faster in the latest games, but sometimes has the knock on effect of messing something up on older games.

Otherwise the issue could be caused by a recently released sims 3 patch (or not applying the latest patch)

I'll try the rollback. Thanks. My graphic driver is Intel (HD). Not sure if that makes a difference.:o

I did update my game the other day, so that could be the problem. I did google to see if anyone else had the problem but I wasn't very successful.

It won't let me roll back as the "roll back" option is greyed out.:o

Okay, after a more thorough google search apparently it's a problem with the latest patch not being compatible with alot of custom content. Someone has made a fix for it...but it'll take so long to manually fix every custom object I have in my game! I think I will have to re-install and then not install the latest patch until the patch has a patch (if that makes sense?).
