Combi boiler - how can i increase the pressure in shower

Hi
I'm new here so hoping someone can help, would really appreciate some advice!
We've just had our old boiler system removed and had a combi boiler installed. We have 3 toilets, 2 showers, 14 radiators. Water pressure in all basin taps and bath taps is strong (cold and hot) - no problems there. The showers run on the combi system (with a thermostat, not mixer) however the pressure is very low compared to the taps. The showers are both ceiling mounted (rain showers) - does the size of the house play a part in this? How can we increase the pressure to the showers, as the taps are absolutely fine (strong). Would really like stronger pressure in the showers :-(
Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi: based on the details provided by you the boiler is not suitable for your property. See pg. 12-13 in this guide.[URL="event:http://www.bathroom-academy.co.uk/pdf/domestic.pdf"]

Btw..who specified this boiler?

Thank you for that, will have a scan at it now. It was the plumber who specified it, but he did ask if we wanted a higher spec combi however he did not tell us this one was not suitable for our property :-(
If we change it for a higher spec combi will the pipeworks all have to be changed or just the boiler?0 -
OK I'll say it then. Your problem is that a combi boiler is not suitable for your requirement full stop! You should have had a stored hot water solution. Your plumber has made an expensive mistake if you want to rectify this. Sorry.

Could the OP just change the showers? I've got this shower running off a combi? http://www.mirashowers.co.uk/onlinecatalog/detail.htm?productNumber=2.1663.016§ion=Mixer%20showers&resultPageKey=2000826190-0&category=0

Swap the shower for an electric jobby, surely?0

The problem is rain showers use a lot of water. Time how long it takes to fill a bucket from the shower and the tap and you will see how much water they use.
If you want to increase the pressure, use a spray with fewer/smaller holes. If you want to increase the flow, buy a bigger boiler, or turn the water temperature down on the boiler.
Your combi boiler is about 3x better than the best electric shower you can buy.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0 -
Wow, I'm no plumber but pretty sure that boiler is no where near what you could do with in that house.
Pretty sure a combi is fine for your spec just a more powerfull one, something in the bosh cdi range or a viessmann 100-w 35kw
Might be worth considering asking the plumber to swap it as its "not fit for purpose" That's what trading standards might say, may be worth giving them a ring.0
