Best place to buy a Christmas tree

I was in Dobbies this morning looking at Christmas trees - £50 for a 6-7 feet high tree; £80 for one that was 8 feet. They were beautiful trees but I thought these were quite expensive (maybe I am wrong)
Does anyone know a good place to get Christmas trees that dont cost the earth?

Go to a Christmas tree grower. He should be a fiver a tree less than stores and you get it fresh in the bargain.

Most of the forest parks have them for sale.

It depends on whether you want artificial or real. We got ours today and apparently it has been a really bad year for xmas trees because there has been a big drought so this has brought the price up considerably! The prices you were quoted do seem a bit steep though! I live in a house with tall ceilings and need a 10ft tree.. was quoted £60! Still expensive but is really nice to have a real tree :) We got ours from a local shop that sells fruits, veg and plants! At christmas he sells trees as well.. he is nice to the regulars! He didn't have a tree big enough in stock so he managed to order in one for us especially :)

we got ours today was £8 from a local grower near tandragee, we picked our own and they cut it down, you could easily get a 10ft one as they had to cut ours to size

    the address is

    11 Terryhoogan Road
    Scarva
    Co. Armagh
    BT63 6NF

    EF- £110/COLOR]/£1000
  • There's a brilliant Christmas tree grower located on the outskirts of Carrowdore (Millisle direction). We go to him every year, he has trees pre cut in the yard and if you don't see one you like you can go to the field, select one that you like and they will cut it down for you!!! They also net the trees so that they fit easily into the car or trailer if you come prepared :):) It also helps when bringing them through the door of the house :):) They range in price from £25 - £40 depending on the size. We got one at the weekend for £35 - it's approx 7-8 feet.

If you want artificial, the local Gumtree page should have ones at a decent price
