  • Outlook is in everything bar home and student, but the OP is asking about the difference between Pro and Pro Plus.
The difference isn't worth the money unless you want InfoSpace, Lync and Sharepoint - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_Office_2010

I used to think that, but the Office Pro Plus that they are selling for £37.89 on Software for Students, comes with 2 licences for use only by Students and Faculty and comes on 1cd and 2 dvd. One has Business Contact manager on and the other Lync 2010, Share point is also included.

Im not that well up on Office we have a computer with windows 7 on it and office 2007 installed but needs a product key buying which to me seems expensive. My child is at college and we have been looking on the software 4 students website. on there it says we can purchase Office 2010 Pro for £37.89 or Office Professional plus for £48.35 My question is would the cheaper 2010 Pro be enough compared to buying Office 2007 or Professional Plus versions. We do not need an all singing & dancing version just the most basic version. What would we be missing if we bought the the cheaper version ?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

    Just an update

I did not buy Office 2010 Pro for £37.89 at the time. I went to the website today and the offer was not there but Office Professional plus was on offer @ £37.89 not for £48.35 as before, so the better deal was had. A result me thinks.

    get Libre Office

That isn't of any use if you are a student at college learning to use Office 2010.

I bought the MS office pro for approx £37 with extra software. DDs at primary school! :D Was fed up of Office 2007, and missed Outlook. I'm pleased to have back. Think was worth it for the extra features.
