In the Android world, free RAM = wasted RAM.

It's not the RAM usage that's causing it to be slow and laggy, it's probably something you've installed. My phone often has less than 60MB free and runs fine (currently has 38MB free, in fact).

It will self-manage the RAM so if it needs more it will automatically close some background apps and processes. No point in having a task killer really as most of the stuff will auto-start anyway. Had a S2 since they came out and I've never had a slow down or freeze (and I've got a fair few things running). It'll be something else causing the slow down. Have you tried switching the phone off and on again. Or it could be a badly coded app - in which case uninstall them all and reinstall one at the time to see if you can find the one causing the issue
Now free from the incompetence of vodafail
