I made an online purchase on 22nd Nov expecting to get a £10 code in the box but I didnt ! Should I have got one or did I have to have a minimum spend ?

I made 2 orders , notheing in either. When I complained they said they will manually add it (or deduct it) for my next order over £50..so that will be a real £50 order and not a glitchy one...touche M&S

Sometimes a Marks glitch can work in their favour. I ordered 3 things on their "3 for 2" and have just been told that 2 are out of stock and so I am getting just the 1 at full price.

Hopefully I will get a £10 off £50 code in the order but I bet I don't get that either

I placed an order and one item for £10 was out of stock but they still honoured the £10 discount code. There was a jumper I wanted for £45 but I didnt really need anything else so was contemplating ordering the previous item in the hope it would still be out of stock not the end of the world if it wasn't as I did want it originally but didn't really need it.

Try phoning M&S Customer Services with your invoice number in front of you and hopefully they will add a code to your account. (As pepperoni's comment above). I placed an order last week and entered my code for the £10 off. The next day a Per Una cardigan I had ordered had £25 off so I cancelled it from my first order which had 3 items. This then reduced my total to under £50 so I knew I couldn't use it there, but on my next order it was automatically deducted once my order was over £50. Watch your expiry date though as some were 4 December. I've got another one for 11 December and if I decide not to spend any more there, I will offer it on the forum. I've got 2 actually from 2 separate orders so good chance I might offer at least one but I've got to be certain there is nothing else I need to buy lol.

I placed 2 orders last night as I had 2 codes for the £10 off £50 which I received with recent orders. Expiry is for 11 December. The first order took that code for £10 off okay but when I placed the second order for 3 items of clothing, totalling £53, it said the order did not meet the criteria. I placed the order anyway as 2 of the items were thermals which had the offer on for yesterday only and it was just before midnight. I phoned Customer Services today and she said that I could not use the same offer twice. I explained that I had 2 leaflets from 2 separate orders I received so I was using different codes. She said that I couldn't use them within the same period. Then she said something about them being valid until 4 December so I said that both of mine were valid until 11 December so she then said that I couldn't use the second one until after 6 December. I think she was making up the rules as she went. I asked where it said that and she said someone was just reading it out to her. I started to read out what it said on the back of the voucher and nowhere does it say anything like what she was saying. I have checked M&S website for their terms and conditions but can't find anything about the £10 off £50 code. You would think if it is not on the exclusions and valid until 11 December (Not use between 6 - 11 December) that I would be meeting the criteria okay. Confused! I might phone them back. What does anyone else think about this? Cheers.

Sorry you are having so much trouble Ailey.

You might try using a different email address to your existing account as often a code that is not accepted on one email address can actually work on another.

Also the codes don't work on several categories including personal care like the Philips stuff the other day as many people found out.

I didn't get a code with my order and as I wanted to spend £50 I thought I would ring up and nicely ask if they had one spare.

I said I had done exactly as requested i.e. placed an order before the 27th November for delivery by the 3rd December in order to qualify for a code. However when the parcel arrived there was no code. She looked up the order and could see I had met all the qualifying dates.

The adviser said nothing could be done as they didn't have any access to codes to give out.

It just shows that you can stick to all the criteria and still miss out.
