We're going on one of these in January. It's the Northern Lights 3 night package.

Has anyone done one before? If so is there any other excursions you'd recommend?

We have the North Lights tour on the second night, but other than that we have no plans? Any suggestions?

Golden Circle, South Shore and Blue Lagoon are your main options. The South Shore is a longer journey so maybe not so good for the short winter days.

the blue lagoon can usually be factored into the return to the airport, depending on flight times.
its really is a beautiful setting.

take some warm clothes and swimwear.

count the northern lights as a bonus, as the weather may not be ideal.
we went horse riding which was fun (although bitterly cold)
the inner circle tour is good
