Only a quick stop by from me today, was on track for a NSD but got scuppered when I went out to watch the fitba tonight, £5 for some charity raffle tickets. I'm all for supporting charities but I do object to being cornered into handing over cash like that - i do give to charities but like to choose myself where my cash goes.

On the upside, my replacement bin arrived today :j thanks for the reminder about it still being under guarantee Jinty :A Am also wondering whether I could clean the other one up with a bit of metal polish and flog it at my next car boot?

Tomorrow won't be a NSD as i'm off to hit the sales, don't worry, will set myself a budget though - before I embark on the CCC 2012

Spoon thank you - you've made me blush:o

Sorry hun, didn't mean to make you blush but you have done brilliantly. I think most of us would have been tempted to go out comfort spending after your year, you deserve a well done for not doing that and a huge pat on the back.

    Better late than never!

Back to work today, had a word with supervisor and got the air cleared. Feel better now!
Busy, but steady today - the next two days have the potential to be totally manic as we approach the last days of the (our financial) year.

Clocked up #14 today, as predicted had a wee spend yesterday. Bought fabby, cosy slippers ( I luvs slippers, I do) and stocked up my freezer at Co5tco.
Off to watch Great Expectations! See you tomorrow!:)

    Hi jinty
Good news about the job and pleased you're feeling better after the chat x Hope the next 2 days aren't too chaotic.

Hope your dad is OK and on the mend?

I love slippers too, can't stand having cold feet :D

    xx

NSD #11 thanks to my sodding sinus ouchiness. Even the internet hasn't tempted me (Mainly as my craft supplier of choice only does free delivery when you spend £40, the gits!)

Sorry you're feeling poorly, ff, I have problems with my sinuses as well so I sympathise, I know how painful they can be:(

Take care and hope you're feeling better soon

Kerri - hope you get some bargains tomorrow and manage to stick to your budget:D
And, yes, I would definitely try to clean up the bin and flog it.

BDINI - I know I haven't actually joined "properly" this month but I've made my target of 20 - I've got 22 so far - any chance of a prize (or is that being really cheeky:o:o:o)

Hope you had a lovely Christmas

5th NSD since Christmas - I'm focused on eating up all the leftovers or freezing them.

Did all cooked leftover vegs/stuffing/bacon in - not sure what to call them- ?cakes for tea plus some left over ham, pudding was leftover roulade, a sort of black forest roulade which I made for boxing day - running out of cream and we have people here for lunch tomorrow but I'm determined not to go out shopping, so need to rethink the desert.

get well soon to all those feeling under the weather, daughter-in-law was here yesterday full of a cold, just hope I can avoid it if it comes my way.

Pleased to say I've now done 17 NSD's this month, 12 b4 christmas and 5 since then so I've met the target, just hoping to get another couple in b4 the new year.
  • Good morning everyone!
chris81418 – well done for 22, you’ll have that 2nd prize in no time!! :j:j

Thanks BDINI! blush.jpg I'm just keeping my head down and trying to collect as many as possible, because when I do have a spend day, they are often big spends! The head down approach is working though, as I caught another NSD yesterday, so I'm now up to 23 NSDs! :j

Have a good day everyone! :xmassmile

    Good Morning,

As predicted yesterday was not a NSD for me :( I only have today and tomorrow to capture my last one as Saturday will definitely be a spendy day.

I'm already trying to work out how many to go for in January :o

    Have a great day :)

That's great news about the bin - glad to have been of service ma'am! Course you can flog the other bin - worth a try I'd say!
What footy was that then? Was there a game on last night? :rotfl:

Your OH would be pleased - mine rather "blue" unsurprisingly!;)

  • Good morning folks,

I'm off out today, so will be very surprised if I have an NSD, but will report back later. Feel as if I'm missing out on something by not visiting the sales, so will have a tentative look at the very least! Kerri, definitely flog the bin at the next car boot and it'll pay for some of the sales or raffle ticket spend. I agree about the charity thing though, as I hate being accosted in the street by people trying to sign you up for direct debit. I regularly give to charity, but don't want to enter into that kind of regular monthly payment set up etc.
I hope everyone has a good day.
