The "Cripes, Christmas is almost here" December NSD thread

Wow! I'm in awe - you're the first person I know to have a picture shown on the telly. I used to lovingly send my "creations" in but to no avail! My Grandpa used to wind me up and insist that the BBC put all entries with Scottish postmarks in the bin :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
You have exploded the myth!LOL!;)
Also had an article printed on the front page of the Telegraph when I was 12. It was a nation-wide school writing project about publicising where you lived. I had a couple of mistakes in it, and still have folk reminding me about it almost every time I am home..40 years on!! :eek:LittleMissHappy wrote: »Hi BDINI  still feeling rubbish but DH has just fetched me a cup of tea and a hot water bottle in bed so I'm happyI'm getting better - I'll be venturing out tomorrow (not just the school run) as I have things I need to do so hopefully after an early night I'll be feeling even less like a zombie tomorrow
I'd just like to say thanks to everyone who has been asking how I am and wishing me better :kisses3: You are all :A xxx
Definitely not an NSD today, went shopping with a friend, lovely, but exhausting!
May have to spend tomorrow too. Ran out of thread on Sunday, and DH was going to get some more today, but he has been off ill today and our shopping trip didn't take us to the thread shop (or at least a shop stocking the same thread). I suppose I could set aside enough money for another reel of thread today, and if that is all I spend tomorrow, it could be an NSD..or is that cheating?
Right, need to get a bit of other sewing done, then off to bed for a long sleep.
Night, night all xx

Eeeks thought I had signed up here but hadn't sorry
I want to aim for 22 NSD - would have gone to 20 but 25th/26th I won't be going out spending I hope so will aim for 22.
Well so far I have had 4 NSD out of the 6 days of the month and hope to collect up a few more this week as want to save my money for a few bits I want from Lidls specials on Monday - some as presents and will need a whopping £150 at least - so apart from Milk later in the week I am determined to stay out of the shops, have plenty of food in and frozen fruit and veg and I make my own bread and have all the ingredients and just enough trays of dog food to do, or might as hubby when he picks up the milk on Thursday to pick up some more trays so all be done on one day, as going to Lidl I plan to have a mooch round the shop and see what the prices are like, as its a fair distance away so only go if there is something on special I want and usually just go in buy that and come out but so many on the forum say how good most of the food is I thought I would have a look, so most likely be spending a bit more than that. So if I can then by Monday I will have managed nearly half the NSDs I want to achieve, doesn't help if I spend a fortune each time I go out does it :rotfl:Need to get back to getting finances under control now kin kid at uni as savings are zilch

NSD 3 today! :T
Re the stamps, had I realised whilst I was still in town I would have definitely taken them back and offered the money, but I didn't clock till I was updating the spending diary at home, and it would mean an extra round trip to town, plus parking. Bit mean of me really.“Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goals.”

Good morning folks from a very cold NI:eek:
I hope everyone is well and it's good to see you're on the mend LittleMissHappy. I am hoping for another NSD today, but will need to purchase liquid gold at some point this week, so we'll see how much driving I have to do today. I hope everyone has a good day and stays warm (if that's possible).

Good Morning, it's wet, windy and wild here today but I'd rather have that than the snow and ice of the past couple of days. At least I can drive without worrying about sliding into the car in front.
Managed to get NSD #2 yesterday. :j Not sure about today though, I have to get a few more Christmas prezzies but might wait until later in the month after I have bagged a few more of these scarce NSD's.

NSD #3 yesterday. And hoping for number 4 today - just got to post my ebay parcels but everyone seems to be in agreement that that doesn't count as spending so as long as I don't lose all willpower at the sight of chocolate in the post office it should be a NSD! Will confirm tomorrowNo more buying books Books in 2016 = 20.
Target for 2018 = 7/21
No more buying DVDs ? 2018 target 27/52
