I have just changed from nPower to British Gas (Click Energy Tariff) for both Electric & Gas.
nPower sent me a reminder to pay the final bill so I paid the bill on the day of he reminder only to find they had taken a direct debt as well.
British Gas have now visted twice to update my PREPAYMENT METER! But I don't have a prepayment meter and there has never been one in the property! On both occasions they found no prepayment meter but they still insist I have one!
Anyway, it seems I am on Click Energy Tariff for gas but not for electric (because they think I have a prepayment meter) So, it means they are only collecting by direct debit for my gas and I am getting my electric for free!
I keep contacting them by e-mail and by phone, but they seem unable to resolve the problem!

If you haven't already asked for the npower refund direct from npower then dispute the direct debit direct with your bank and they will refund the value.Indecision is the key to flexibility0

What really !!!!es me off is the fact I keep giving them the serial number of the credit meter that I have and this (of course) does not agree with their records because their records show a serial number for a prepayment meter.
So, two men have visited the property to confirm the meter number I gave British Gas is correct and that I have just a credit meter and no prepayment meter but British Gas still fail to update their records!0 -
Surprise surprise... British Gas are useless, as usual....
