  • I'd use another courier not parcelfarce, but it would not be able to go RM as it's over 2kg, try https://www.interparcel.com or https://www.parcelmonkey.co.uk for a courier

  • They're a rip-off and, from my experiance, not particularly reliable abroad, as they use service partners rather than their own network

Just use whatever parcel service you would use for the rest of the United Kingdom

Couriers though generally charge a great deal more for non mainland deliveries- so this might be one time that Royal mail in some form will work out cheaper.

Up to 10kg special delivery insured for loss up to £500 would be £22.70. If it was under £46 then even standard 1st class would only be £8.95 but not signed for of course

I agree - Royal Mail are the only business I know not to penalise us for being separated from mainland UK

Antrim is not abroad, unless you happen to be in France or Germany etc. Send it by Royal Mail like you were sending it to Croydon.

It is certainly within the weight limit and as long as it is no longer than 1.5metres it can go by Royal Mail

I thought this too, but I was asked for a courier quote the other day and tried My Hermes. In their terms it said they do deliver to NI, but not the Republic. It is not listed as one of their supplemental areas.

I entered the delivery post code as BT5 *** and was quoted the same price as a UK mainland delivery. I should point out I did not book this service as I was only getting a quote so I cannot confirm that this was the final price I would have been charged, however I see no reason why it would be more based on the evidence I had to hand.

Geography not a strong point with some. There is no weight limit for first class. Standard parcel is a Royal Mail service nor Parcelforce. Forget Special Delivery if it's worth more than £46 use parcelforce 24 or 48.
Never go to Northern Ireland and suggest it's a foreign destination, they will bite your ears off.
  • Some of us will, other won't :)
