Does appeal ESA will reduce the standard rate of £67.50 per week from £122.80 (extra on disability premium) or remain the same on £122.80 per week ?
Had been told by the DWP that it will not paid at the highest rate, only the standard rate until win the appeal and any backdated will be pay back for any disability premium.
Is this is true ?

There are two parts that make up an ESA award.
Firstly, there is your applicable amount - this varies if you're single or a couple, and with some other things, and is increased if you're in the support or WRAG group.
During an appeal, the applicable amount is only the base amount, without any WRAG or support group component.
Seperate from these are premiums - various disability, pensioner, and carer premiums which are added on to your award.
Some of these premiums you will still be eligible for on the assessment phase - for example the carer premium.
Others aren't - if you're eligible for the enhanced disibility premium because you're in the support group, when you're put on the assessment rate, you are no longer in the support group so don't qualify.
Are you 'just' on ESA, or were you also claiming other benefits, for example getting the higher rates of DLA care, this would still entitle you to some premiums.0
