Overnight stay in Dover

Hi friends
I wonder if anyone could recommend a good place to stay in Dover for an overnight before and after ferry crossings. Need somewhere that takes 2 adults and 2 children in one room.
Any advice would be gratefully received.
Thanks
Lorna

We stayed here http://www.premiertravelinn.com/pti/hotelInformation.do?hotelId=24191 a few years ago. They have family rooms and it is close to the ferry terminal. Nothing to write home about but does the job well enough.0

Have you considered staying outside of Dover taking advantage of Travel Lodge offers £26 per room for the night. Also if you haven't booked your ferries why not stay in France and get the first ferry out the next day - we are doing this in May and staying in Boulogne for the night - nicer than Dover.0

The Travel Lodge in Ashford is adequate and only about half an hours drive to Dover. See if u can get one of the saver rooms?:rotfl:0

Join the YHA, but not before casting off any old notions you may have of them. Three good reasons:
1.They have family rooms.
2.There's one in Dover.
3.Tesco Clubcard Deals have just started including YHA and SYHA, so you can stay for only 25% of their listed tariffs.
Website: yha.org.uk and the world is your(very much more affordable)oyster.
Then you find there's one in Boulogne, too - FUAJ is the Federation Unie des Auberges de Jeunesse(sorry, accents not reinstalled yet)CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:
