Panasonic Breadmaker Pan

I came home tonight to find that my girlfriend had removed a loaf of bread from our new SD-2500WXC with a knife, and has scratched through the non stick coating in several places.
The replacement part is £70, however I notice that the pans for the older models are significantly cheaper and look to be exactly the same size and shape, the only difference being the type of non stick coating.
Does anyone know if these will fit (or if they would fit if I swapped the spindle mount over)?

See how it goes with the scratches first. Dearest OH did this the very first time we used it (picture the scene ) but it has been fine and if it does stick on the sides I run round the pan with a silicone spatula, but tbh it sticks more on the paddle than the sides.Think big thoughts but relish small pleasures0

I'd be inclined to see how it goes too.
I agree that it's more likely to stick on the paddle than on the sides.Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. The quality of the non-stick on Panasonic breadmakers is their only downside IMHO. Just making granary loaves on a regular basis will scratch the non-stick. But I just persevere with mine and a silicone spatula.
As for swapping the pan - you could try taking your pan along to a boot sale/friend etc to see if you could find if it really matches to the old ones.
I had no issue with the paddle on my last panny and kept the paddle when it died so I would have a spare for my latest one. I do usually oil the spindle before putting the paddle on."Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass...it's about learning how to dance in the rain." ~ Vivian Greene0 -
I got a new paddle from ebay which was a lot cheaper than any other site ( about £4) have a look if they do bread pans aswell. Also my pan has scratches and work fine.0

I'm sure I'd read somewhere that you shouldn't use any pan with a damaged non stick surface because it is then toxic. Whether this is still the case I don't know but would check it out.0
