i bought some today, can't say yet if they're any good, i think as they are the lower power type they will be better for slightly lower drain appliances but can't see why they won't work. i imagine i'll use mine for things like clocks but not digital cameras etc.

  • Hi, I have some of these, have used them twice so far, they seem fine but like rach says no good for when you need a lot of power. Fine for remotes which is what I am using them for.
  • Any idea what the power of these are (the mAh figure)? 7 Day shop have 2500 mAh ones (AA) for 2.99 here
  • I had some, and they were rubbish. I put one in a clock and a fortnight later it had stopped. Perhaps I just had a bad batch, but I'd rather pay a bit extra and not be late for work. :D

They are 800mah and NiCd not NiMh's by the way. They are ok for low power devices: remotes etc.

If you are wanting batteries for digital cameras etc then get NiMh's. Those from 7dayshop mentioned by benny777 are good value. I have quite a few of them and they are great.
Ye'!, And!!?. How am I supposed to know?
  • I agree with the others, I use mine for all the remote controls in the house and they are perfect for that, but they don't last 2 minutes in my digi cam.

Still, I saw some of the same power in Currys for £7.99 last week!

Most rechargable batteries do not reach their full capacity until they have gone through around half a dozen charge-discharge cycles.

We bought some too and we'll use them in low-drain devices. 800 mAh is no worse than many of our older NiCd's which are starting to die now.
  • Any ideas if they would be any good in an mp3 player please?

  • I've bought rechargeables (aa, aaa, radio control car batteries) from Vapextech on Ebay - seem to be a good price for high capacity batteries.
