Pocketfold Invites what information to put in

Ok so after a lot of thought, googling etc we finally bought the bits for our invites and started designing.

But now we come to make them aren't quite too sure what to put on the insert sheets in the pockets!

So far we have a sheet with directions.

I was thinking of putting a bit about the timetable for the day:

1:30pm Guests Arrive
2pm Wedding Ceremony
2:30pm Drinks Reception & Photographs
3:30pm Afternoon tea
7:30pm Wedding Breakfast

And then maybe something about the accomodation:

Accommodation

Bed & Breakfast Accommodation at XXXX Hall will be provided for the night of the Wedding. Should you wish to stay the night please call XXXX Hall Reservations 123456789 extension 1. Please mention that you are a Wedding Guest as we negotiated a reduced room rate.

    We had in ours:

    -Accomodation and local taxi numbers
    -A map and directions
-An information page about gifts, confetti not being allowed and some facts about our venue as it was at a historic house.
    -The RSVP card

We put our day timings on the back of our order of service that were given out on the day.

    Hope that helps

Thanks for starting this thread... I had been wondering the same thing.

I too want to put some info on the venue. Its an historic house and it would help explain our theme. Though there is another level to the theme (apples and pears) - which need not be explained to everyone.:rotfl:

Hadley - I will pm you. If you look on my thread 'Going to Pop' then you will see the invite styles too.

Apples and pears? Are there lots of stairs in your venue????

Hi, just a thought..... The accommodation bit makes it seem that you are paying as I read it. Are you paying? If not you may want to re-word... But that's just me.:)

    INSERT 3
The date has been set and we’d love you to come,
    To our wedding in
Elland, a long way for some.
All you must do is decide what to wear,
    Then polish your
jewellery and comb up your hair.
Don’t worry about gifts, don’t buy us a yacht,
The things that we need, we’ve already got.
Don’t go out shopping or get yourself stressed,
Don’t alter your plans for a pre wedding rest.
If you want to be generous, despite what we’ve said,
Then save all the hassle and do this instead…..
Don’t know how to word this but we’ll give it our best shot,
Contributions are most welcome, we’ll go somewhere hot!
    A honeymoon would be
marvellous, to start off our life,
In our long winding journey, as husband and wife!

Hi yes we are paying for the guests accomodation. Most are travelling 300 miles so we thought it would be a nice gesture.
