Temporary Stand alone water heater
Options
We need to replace our hot water cylinder due to a leak. Husband can rise to the challenge but unfortunately we've discovered some hitches. We now have to drain the system with no hot water nor central heating for a few weeks until he can take time off work.
In the meantime, can anyone suggest something we can hire (preferably) in order to heat up water for baths? I have no idea what I'm looking for, just assuming/hoping there is something out there.
Everything else not really a problem....washing machine/dishwasher use cold water. We have a gas fire and assorted oil radiators. Use of kettle for sink washes

Not really anything for the bathroom as it would require electricity and that can't be in the bathroom. All I can suggest is get a few large kettles and keep on boiling until you get enough. If you have an electric shower just run it until the bath is full enough.
Or you could hire one of these. It will be expensive on a normal electricity tariff. http://www.watkinshire.co.uk/boiler-hire/portable-emergency-hotwater-tank-hire/:footie:Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.
