incapacity appeals advice?

Hi, i have recently been assessed and told that i am no longer entitled to incapacity benefit. The claim has been suspended pending an appeal i have made.
Im completely in the dark about what to do in the meantime.
Do i sign on? Do i await the result of the appeal and hope for a backdated payment?
Any advice would be very welcome indeed.
regards.

Assuming this is a IB->ESA conversion.
If you went to the medical, and cooperated, you should get paid the assessment rate of ESA during the conversion.
This is ~66/week or so.
At the moment, you should get the statement of reasons why your decision was made, then go through it in detail finding errors - ideally from information they already hold.
Otherwise, statements from GPs, professionals that know you.
Properly understand the criteria for ESA at http://www.dwp.gov.uk/docs/m-06-11.pdf and work out which ones may apply to you, and aim your evidence at these.
You can also get a complete copy of your IB and ESA file, which I'd advise - http://www.dwp.gov.uk/privacy-policy/data-protection/0
