    First thing to check is that the water inlet hose isn't, twisted or blocked in any way.

    I would then disconnect it and check the filter and water flow from the hose itself.

    If the filter isn't blocked, then it could be the valve/solenoid switch or if your unlucky the main control board thats duff.

    I have checked the above - I have looked inside and can't see anything untoward - I have tapped the pump with the end of the screwdriver in case it had jammed and when I put the machine on an easycare program empty it did start to fill with water - so I cancelled the program (in the correct way) and put some cloths in and it did'nt work again.
  • It could be the same as something that happens on mine (Bosch 1401) every few years;
    There is a thin tube from the back of the drum to the circuit board, it regulates the water level but can get blocked and the machine thinks its got water so doesn't fill. Just pull it off from both ends and clean it out, put it back.

    We've got a Bosch WFF2001 that is now 10 years old and worked well. The lights flash during a cycle and the machine stops mid wash. I searched the web and found the flashing sequence meant the drain was blocked. Removed the front kick panel and drained the pump out, cleaned it etc. Unfortunately fault kept coming back even though pump body was clean.

    The machine had got quite noisy too, so looked at buying a new one. Not very MSN!

    Anyhow, after a read around various posts on https://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk, decided the drain pump could be worn out. I ordered the pump and new main motor brushes last Thurs afternoon. First post Friday they arrived (pre strike). Great service from "ukwhitegoods".

    Took the machine out (make sure unplugged first!). Removed the motor, replaced brushes (fiddly but easy). Changed the pump (again quite easy for any competent DIY'er). Put it all back together and the machine is like new. The wash and spin cycles are very quiet again and the drum spins with a lot more "oomph" than previously (probably imagined!).

    Total price £36 for parts and a hour of my time. Not a job for everyone, but I'd never worked on a washing machine before worried they were a black art. Saved myself a fortune and the machine will hopefully run for another 10 years!

  • Hi Geoff,

    I've got the same problem with my Bosch WFF2001, I've got a pump motor from someone on ebay but I'm not sure which direction to go in from.

    The top and the back look tricky and the bottom is rivetted on!

    Any advice would be very much appreciated.

    Cheers
