I have just been quoted £200+ for a service at my local citreon garage. Do I need to go here to ensure that my warrenty is valid or can I go elsewhere and how would I find the cheapest here?

As long as Citroen authorised parts are used, and all jobs are done according to the service schedule, having your car serviced at a non citroen garage will not invalidate your warranty.

When getting a quote from any other garage you must make sure they understand you want the service to comply with your warranty T&Cs - you may find that the quote you get at that point isn't much different from the dealership.

As long as the garage is VAT registered, follows the manufacturer's service schedule and uses genuine manufacturer's parts, then you can get any garage to do the service without invalidating the warranty. Make sure you keep all receipts in case you ever need to claim on the warranty. Some useful information here :

As for finding the cheapest garage, the best way is to ask friends / neighbours who they recommend. There are a great many genuine mechanics out there that will do a good job for a fraction of the price of a main dealer, unfortunately the motor industry has its fair share of cowboys as well, just like any other trade.

It might be worthwhile getting a quote from other Citroen dealers as well.
