If your gonna go for a TV/Monitor then firstly check you can get a digital signal in your sons room and if you can then it might be worth considering buying Freeview set top box and then he can watch it without his PC being onAlways looking for a bargain and to help0

It's £30 more and only has a CD writer and a slower HDD. The cheaper one is better value. You can pick up another 256 MB of memory for as little as £15 or 512 MB for £25. 1GB RAM isn't necessary for the efficient running of XP. Even the 256 MB upgrade would make a significant difference.
It's a good, low cost system.
