Help with meter readings
Options
Hi
I'm afraid i havn't got a clue with this so hoping somebody can kindley help me.
I usually use 22kw of gas a week according to Imeasure.
I have just set up my new tariff and its now telling me i have used 4, my usage hasn't changed so would have expected this be the same even if i had entered the new tariff in wrong.
My concern is there may be somthing wrong with meter
Last week was 6780 this week 6784 can somebody take pity on me and tell me how to work it out.:D

4 units of gas per week = 45kwh per week (metric) or 127kwh per week (imperial)
You can play around with your units/kwh calculations here:-

22kwh per week would suggest 2 units per week (metric) were being used according to Imeasure. If this average is throughout the year it could well be correct. Has your useage not increased due to cold weather?0 -

No its still the same hot water and cooking( no heat on yet) but according to Imeasure i'm useing less only 4 instead of the normal 22,i dont know how work out myself from the readings what i've actually used.If something is wrong with meter i will need to contact somebody.
PS just tried your link, thankyou very much it must have been Imeasure my meter must be ok,i wish my usage had been 35p but sadly not,it comes out correct now.Thankyou once again0 -
You're welcome.
Try reading your gas meter every day at the same time for a week, then use the link to work out your kwh used.
I live in a large(ish) 3 bed semi and used approximately 0.5 units per day hot water only. Heating is now on and I use approximately 1.3 units per day.
I may be a bit sad (!) but I've kept a record on excel for the past 2+ years - gas and electricity.
As an addition, when looking at new tarifs/suppliers always enter your annual kwh useage rather than your annual spend. HTH0
