HD LCD TV Freeview Tuner or Not?

Apart from the obvious reason of having an extra freeview tuner. Is there a good reason to buy an HD LCD with freeview tuner? It looks as if you save £80 +/- if you buy the versions without the tuner.
I have my Humax PVR and am quite happy with that (OK it only has a single tuner but for the sort of money I pay for the freeview tuner incorporated in the TV I could get a twin tuner PVR and pay a bit more.
From experience freeview tuners can be a bit tempramental and need reebooting on occasion.
So do I pay the extra for the freeview tuner or just buy a decent twin tuner PVR?

Just get yourself the humax 9200T and you'll never use an inbuilt tuner again.0

If it was your only piece of reception equipment then yes. It would save you requiring an additional set-top box from 2012 onwards.Hintza wrote:So do I pay the extra for the freeview tuner or just buy a decent twin tuner PVR?
+1 for twin tuner.0 -
So is the consensus "don't bother with inbuilt tuner" and use the money saved to get decent PVR?0

I have a Samsung LC HDTV set with builtin tuner and picture is better than my Humax 9200 twin tuner freeview.0

All of them will become invalid as soon as the High def tuners and broadcast become the norm within the next couple of years. Just get yourself a cheapy freeview box until thenDo I want it? ......Do I need it? ......What would happen if I don't buy it??????0
