that is the only way to describe how I feel today!!!!

The bathroom that we thought was a gift to us from the MIL has turned out not to be and she is now asking for £100 per month (minimum) to pay for it.

To be honest we probably would not have ahd it done if we knew we had to pay as it could have waited another year or so.

This has now pushed our debt up by £6300 :mad:

That seems really wrong Caroline. Did she say it was a gift and has now changed her mind? Did she think she was lending the money? Always a nightmare when relatives and money are involved, I've found.
  • Ouch caroline thats not very nice of her to suddenly say its not a gift, on the brighter note at least its intrest free and you have a nice new bathroom just make the payments as awkward as possible pay via cheque etc agree an amount yourselves if 100 is too much pay her less, what would you have saved for next year towards bathroom pay her that... on a payment note more money paid towards negative wealth, so thats £1864.48/50k onwards and downwards
    :)

    £51 OP to barclaycard.

Made a massive profit on ebay at the weekend - takings were £173 for a layout of £17! Very pleasing. Have put some on barclaycard debt and the rest on te virgin card, which has an 'extra' on it I am paying off but not counting.

    Wow, well done! :j

4 days to pay daaaaaaaaaaaaaaay. I think I'm just whacking the remaining debt off next month I can't be bothered with it any more. Although I won't be able to do much savings. I will miss being part of the challenge though :-(

  • Jwil, please can you change my target and new paid off of course:) I'm now £938.78/£568.54. Which in a way means I haven't got anywhere but I have used my share cheque and a bit of balance transfers to pay off my overdraft so I won't be paying Santander for the priviledge after next month:j This also hopefully means I will keep out of it from now on and actually feel like the debts going down. I do however have two trips coming up in the next couple of weeks and a trip to India in April but I'm hoping they won't do too much damage...

On the plus side, just been told I'm getting a refund plus interest on a gap policy when i brought my car so this will help soften the blow once it arrives.
Debt free and busy treating myself:)

No more toiletries/make up until I've used what I've got stashed since Jan 2011, graduated October 2012. Restocked Dec 13..damn those sales
