No 36 reporting......feel so much better today, really feel Ive turned a corner in this post op business!! Have been awake now for 11 hrs which I coulnt have done a few days ago!!
My half cast is off tomorrow and I had a peek at my arm last night, incision is healing beautifully, dissolvable stiches thank goodness and its so neat!! BUT the arm looks very strange..... I have a big bony swelling where incision is.....it feels harder than any other bone I have and it looks most strange. Im hoping the bone graft he has put in, im sure thats where it is will settle down in time!! I see surgeon in about 4 weeks so will find out then.
    Anyway 9.00 pad!!
    owe 16167/31943 and paid 513.00/10000 in 2012.
    Night all!!
  • Well done on the pad payments. Good luck today, yay about the healthy wound xx

Thanx Happy, Ive had another peek today and now that Im prepared for this wierd bony swelling it doesnt look too bad at all. Apparently it can take 3-12 months for a bone graft to take but it all looks good so far!

Not sure about when to go back to work tho.....never got round to checking with surgeon about how long, On weds it will be 2 weeks....i can go back doing light duties ie not typing.....I suppose if I see how splint feels maybe I can make a decision!! When Im at work I want to be at home and now Im off again I want to be at work!!

    take care, Happy!! xx

  • Hi all :)

Well done on all the payments everyone :T

I've been reading but not posting so much as have felt like i've been treading water and trying not to sink since pretty much the start of the year :(

Anyways have made a good overpayment today and tomorrow a smaller one will follow :)
    £1246.86/17,000

Just in case anyone wonders £17000 is my target which is made up of total debt + hopeful mortgage overpayments. Also i do not pay something to all my debts every month - i have 2 overdrafts which i don't pay anything towards and also owe OH some money which will be the last bill i'll clear. (basically its our savings towards something that i have borrowed). I do of course pay at least minimum payments to all my credit cards.

Target 1 is one overdraft which i had to use to replace the central heating last year. I have pretty much decided today that once this is cleared i'll cancel and close this account. Reason being the overdraft is substantial but is not interest free. On top of this whilst i'm thinking this account is a cushion for emergencys its too easy to use so best for me to just close it.

Jacci - good to hear you're feeling better but sorry to hear about your son and his fiancee. Hope he's feeling better in a few days too. x
