Breakdown insurance with get you home?

As above, have looked at the MSE guide but all the best buys simply take you to the NEAREST garage.
So which is best get you home deal and can it include a month in Europe with get you and car home to UK? Car is 4 years old.

I have always found Green Flag cheapest. I check AA, RAC and Green Flag each year.

I have Recovery Plus (level 4 cover):
    http://www.greenflag.com/breakdown-cover/

This includes recovering your car back to your house (or an address of your choosing) from anywhere in the UK. We do a lot of UK holidays - drove from Essex to the Orkney Islands in June! - so I like the peace of mind this brings. Recovery (Level 3) also includes long-distance recovery, but we wanted (and have used) cover at home, so got Recovery Plus.

With Green Flag, only Level 5 includes Europe. I don't think I have an option to add Europe for just a month, though I suppose you could ask them if you could take out Euro Plus cover and then downgrade to Recovery Plus after a month...

AA and RAC also do similar cover levels, so worth comparing the prices on their websites.

AA/RAC have standard prices that all customers pay. Green Flag is more like insurance. It asks for your reg when you do a quote and if you have a newish car it's a lot cheaper than if you're driving an old banger. We have a 52 reg car, for which Green Flag are a bit cheaper than AA/RAC and a 10 plate car for which they barely charge anything. :D

Quidco do cashback for Green Flag (probably for AA and RAC too) which I've used every year. Does take about 14 months to get the cashback though.

I'm also loyal to Green Flag now because I've called them out 3 or 4 times and they've always been prompt* and got the problem sorted. They use a network of local garages rather than their own vans/guys, so it will be a breakdown service from a local garage rather than Green Flag employees that turn up to fix your car (if that bothers you).

    * Except for when we were on the Orkney Islands - they only have one agent up there and he was on a different island that evening so couldn't come out till the next day! But Green Flag paid for us to get a taxi from our stricken car back to our holiday accommodation, and then back again the next morning to meet him. :)
