Help needed upgrading memory on Acer Laptop.

Hi,

I have an Acer Aspire 3102WLMi Laptop and want to upgrade the memory. However when i remove the memory cover beneath the laptop there is a metal plate beneath the laptop and I am unsure of how to remove it safely.

I have uploaded a picture of the plate here

Can anyone advise me?

Thanks

To be honest with you , I upgraded my acer emory, and I am sure that it wasnt covered by that plate....dont mean to be rude, but are you sure that this is the memory bay, from the pic you uploaded I can see a couple of rivets at the bottom which would mean you couldnt take the plate off anyway...dont suppose you have the manual handy just to see?
:confused:I have nothing better to do!!!!

I was thinking that but the picture in the userguide is very vague. The other cover on the laptop has about 5/6 screws on it but says that the internal wireless transmitter is there.

Here is a picture of the underside of the laptop-here

    Thanks

I think the cover to the right is where you will find the memory!!!! It wont do any harm to have a peek, and I think the other is the hard drive enclosure

That picture is of the hard drive (note the IDE connector on the left hand side).
