Ooh I forgot to add...I FINALLY got my OH to agree to ditch Sky last night, & bizarrely enough it was his suggestion as I'd given up trying to talk him into it lol. We are going to go with Plusnet for phone & broadband & will be at least £7 a month better off for dropping the tv that we barely use! Freeview all the way (we have a box built into the tv already). 0845 etc calls are free too so no longer will I be trying to find alternative numbers on saynoto0870 & sometimes still incurring charges as Sky's are obscene! If we make any phone calls other than local ones our bill goes up from anywhere between £1.50-£10
So yes, all in all a nice small DFW step there:idea:Debt at July 2012: £12,862.57

100% paid off!

Hi Perni and DNMS,
Sounds brave but has been well thought out. In the new year we will be moving 200 mile down the country so going on to bank work will give me the time to go and stay with family to look for a job and suitable house (2 large pooches as well to think about). The shift pattern I work at the moment this would be impossible as I struggle to get 2-3 days off in a row and all I want to do is sleep on days off. OH is waiting to hear about a transfer with his job and I have savings stashed away to pay for deposit and first couple of months bills so hopefully will survive without gaining any more debt.
I have to agree with your OH DNMS, if it wasn't for the move so far away I would be getting sticking it till something else came along. Keep applying, it will happen soon! X0 -

I got a free lunch at work today so I'm pleased with that. My only daily expense is lunch (no travel costs as I walk) so my £2 from sandwiches will be going in my Terramundi pot and 50p for the vending machine will go in my silver coin duck moneybox. Pleased with that.0
