We have Sky and when you switch it on the TV automatically goes to Sky. Anyway it has suddenly stopped doing this and you have to press the AV button to get it.
I have checked all the cables, they are all in properly. What else can cause this problem?
Thanks!!!

The signal to switch to SKY is sent through one of the SCART connections.
Try another SCART lead?Dave. :wave:0 -
Have to changed the Scart Cables around recently ?
If not they could be 'breaking down/ not working'
Try using a different scart lead/adapter.......
I've recently changed my scart lead to a 'cheapy one' and I now have to press the AV1 button to ge the 'GOOD' picture...
Cheers

There is also a setting in the picture settings that sets scart control 'On' or 'off'.Fortune's always hiding, I've looked everywhere......0

I got a fairly low cost Scart lead but it's fully screened and "locks" into the socket so it's quite hard to shift - especially when she decides to hoover behind the TV!

There's a setting for this in the TV settings.
I press menu>setup menu>and scroll down to - power on preferences>select TV or AV.
Select AV and when you switch on the TV and the AV connected equipment is powered on the TV will automatically detect and be the default channel when TV is switched on.0 -
Thank you, finally worked out that with getting new TV aerial the DVD was left without a connection and that was only discovered the other day and in connecting that the scart lead was in the wrong scart socket on the Sky box, it was in Video and not TV.
Thanks again!0
