Income or Not?

At the end of this year i will be losing my job. After reading about different benefits i am thinking we will be able to claim income support. My partner is disabled and from spain but has lived here now for 3 years. He receives a disability pension from spain of aprox 500.00 per month. Would this be classed as income/secruity benefit/other income or is it classed as a non means tested benefit like dla?

Unless you claim carers allowance for looking after your partner (you would be eligble if your partner receives a least middle rate care DLA and you provide 35 hours of care a week and you earn under £100 a week) then I don't think you would be eligible for income support. If your partner is ill then he would need to claim ESA but I think that the pension would be counted as income (someone will be along to correct me if I'm wrong).
Does he claim DLA? If he has care and mobility needs he might be eligible for that.2019 Wins

I would check what the disability pension is it may the same as DLA in this counrty in which case it may well be ignored?0
