My BT Phone has stopped working and is dead. Search Base does not show when put on stand and batteries arok as I have a tester.
It is quite old so I have bought a new one which says charge for 24 hours before use. As I have an important call to make, will it be ok to use it in the morning which will be 15 hours and then continue charging?

Hello,
It will probably be okay to use, but just be 100% sure I would find another phone (mobile perhaps) to make the call. The 24 hours will be just to make sure the new battery is run through a full charge before you use it.
Hope that helps0 -
Thanks, call is to America and too expensive to use a mobile.0

It will be fine as long as your call is not going to be a long one. I'd guess that the batteries will be at least 90% charged after 15 hours, and none of the modern battery technologies will be harmed by having their charge cycles interrupted.0

Ask a neighbour/friend if they have have a proper phone (ie with a cord) If not I would seriously suggest you should buy one (must be available about a £5 pounds) If you get stuck without electricity and can't call for help what will you do ? Nobody ever thinks about what if,e.g. if the remote control of the TV stops working / batteries go flat they will happily drive to Supermarket to buy new ones rather than get up and change channels on the telly using the buttons.4.8kWp 12x400W Longhi 9.6 kWh battery Giv-hy 5.0 Inverter, WSW facing Essex . Is there not an option to keep it charging in the dock whilst making a call through the loudspeaker?0
