Has anyone used annualcreditreport.co.uk to obtain a free credit report file?

Has anyone been able to obtain a free full credit report from any of the credit reference agencies? Is there a possible way of obtaining them for free apart from paying £2 to these agencies? Any advice is much appreciated.

Many thanks

You can get a free 30 day trial for Experian online. I believe Equifax do it as well, but i've not tried tit. Go to the "Check your credit rating" section of the site.
Well life is harsh, hug me don't reject me.

Yes, there is a free trial for both Experian and Equifax.
You have to remeber to cancel in time (or you'll end up paying a lot more than £2) and you can only apply once for the free trial.

You can get your call credit report from
    https://www.garlik.com (don't need to cancel)

    or annually from
    http://www.annualcreditreport.co.uk/
(I believe this is call credit).

has anyone used that https://www.garlik.com? never heard of it before?
  • I saw a review of it once, from what I remember the same people who were behind Zopa are behind it.
From what I remember the journalist writing the review tried it and was 'frightened' to find the info that was in the public domain!

    I have used Garlik.
You do not have to put in any payment details so you don't have to worry about cancelling.

The credit report bit was fine (call credit) and it gave me a free rating.

I found the other part (data patrol) fairly useless.
There is an american actress with my name and a dressage champion so it came up with hundreds of links that were largely irrelevant, so pretty useless for me.

I have tried this service but unfortunately it did not show any searches and incomplete credit details. I understand from Martins latest ramplings they get their info from Call Credit.

I have tried them all and the best one is Experian. I subscribe to them on a monthly basis.
