Not spending money is boring!

You are right to an extent. It can be boring having no money to spend but ask yourself why? Its because we are so used to entertaining ourselves through spending so everything else seems mundane in comparison.
However I am sure you must have realised by now that spending only gives a short term satisfaction. I dont get bored as I have a very demanding job and kids at home but I do have free time now and again.
Digging the garden and growing veg is an ideal way to relieve boredom even if its just a window box. It might sound old fashioned but puzzles are a great way to pass the time and can be picked up very cheaply in charity shops.
Try to look at the shops you visit for what they really are - global corporate monsters who employ many underpaid workers to supply you with something you do not need. They are trying to sell you a lifestyle that isn't reality and keep you coming back for more.
Shrug it all off and find something truly satisfying to do with your time and you might find you don't need to be spending to enjoy yourself.
Good luck

Do some charity work?0

I can relate to what your saying, it becomes immensely boring watching every penny you spend. I've gotten so used to watching the pennies that I sometimes look at the price of food on a menu before what it even is, even though we are no longer even skint. After a while you start to not be bothered about spending money on things you don't need.0

I go through the mantra of "Do I just want it or do I really need it?" Half the time it's the former. I use ebay to satisfy my need to window-shop. I haven't bought anything from there in two years but I've watched load of things.
If you're finding not spending on anything other than non-essentials a bit boring and it wouldn't completely ruin your plan to be debt-free why not think about cutting yourself some slack and allowing yourself twenty quid to do something fun/buy something?0 -
I think it's really important to allow yourself something each month to spend on fun. Just make sure it's a small amount of money and stick strictly to it. Use that as budget and spend your time hunting out bargains. It's a wonderful feeling knowing that you have got something at an amazing price is fantastic.0

My online time is spent on the daily mail website, this website, amazon, topshop etc I have a terrible habit of filling up my shopping baskets them emptying them...Received £2,626.00 in PPI -2013:j
Received £1400 charges - 2006:j0 -
I'm glad I'm not the only one!
I've spent the last couple of days reading Sense and Sensibility, downloaded for free on my Kindle. Austen was even more obsessed with money than I am.0 -
Sorry to sound blunt...but we're fortunate to have the freedom to be able to live in peace, have enough to feed ourselves and have a roof over our heads. There are many people in the world who don't even have these luxuries...do you think they get bored?0

We are extremely fortunate, but what's your point? None of us can ever feel sad, because someone somewhere is probably sadder? Boredom isn't allowed? I'm sure most people feel bored sometimes. As it's a totally natural human emotion I'm sure that even people with the worst problems also get bored.0

Well, my point is there more to life than shopping. Appreciate what you have got and cherish the really important things in life.0
