Ryanair flight cost question

Just noticed the following when trying to book a flight...
If I get a quote for 2 adults and 3 children to go from EMA to Alghero on the 13th August the cost is #24.99 each
But... if I get a quote say for 1 adult and 2 children the cost goes down to #19.99 each!
Am I right in saying I could book this as 2 transactions and save money?
Anyone know why the prices seem to be more if there are more of you going?

Yes this does happen - there will only be a limited number of seats at £19.99, then they will go up to £24.99, but if you put in more than the available number of seats at the lower fare, the booking system will charge you the higher fare for them all. There is nothing to stop you doing two separate transactions, to get as many seats as are available at £19.99, then book the rest at £24.99.0
