external hardrive

can any of you out there help, trying acess my external hardrive, it keeps saying access denied. Unfortunatly it's a freecom . Help please.

Can we have some more info please?

First guess is that it needs re-formatting as it's been unplugged incorrectly or subjected to a disruption of power, but without more details it's not possible to tell.

Have a look in Disk Manager - right click my computer and choose manage, then Disk Management on the left.
Does it show up in the lower right hand side - something like Disk 1, Disk 2 etc?
If it does, then post exactly what's shown there.

Thanks for your reply. In the disk management it shows the drive as Disk1 basic on the right side Classic (H) nfts healthy active.
