I phoned my bank today intending to increase my loan with them from ~£1.5k to £5k and clear my £3.5k outstanding on my credit card (half @ 16.9% half at 0%).
However, the rate they offered was unfavourable and they suggested I might apply for their credit card with a 17month introductory 0% this came back fine. The lady asked if I would prefer to be flexible over the payments or make fixed monthly contributions - stupidly, I ask to divide the £3.5k over 17months. Can I renege on this payment and take advantage of the full 0% period. Seems stupid not to. The. I can concentrate on clearing my £1.5k 8.9% loan over four months and not the remaining twelve.

Yes, just ask them to change the 'static' DD to a minimum payment DD.Can I renege on this payment and take advantage of the full 0% period.
