My computer has suddenly started to put up this message every time I click to read an e-mail, also won't let me right click to delete messages.................
"Could not install the custom actions. This form cache file 'C.\Documents and settings\My user name\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\FORMS\FRMCACHE.DAT is not valid. Contact your administrator'.
You have to click the OK every time to continue then every thing seems OK until you click again.
I would be very grateful if you could help me fix this.......But if possible in the plainest and simplest language possible.......65 year old technophobe, who is at this moment looking for a lump hammer!
Thankyou

I would assume you're using Outlook. Could help if you say what version of Windows you are also running.
However, the chances are it's a file belonging to a feature you don't need.
Just rename the file you mentioned to something else....
Right click on the Start button and select explore.
Then navigate to the file you listed on the C: drive (you will have to be an administrator, but if you are the only user then you probably already are), click on the file name and change it. Stick something like the word "old" in front of it.
Then try Outlook again and hopefully all will be well.

If you can't see the Local Settings folder under your username, click on Tools, Folder Options, then the View tab and select the "Show hidden files and folders" button in the Hidden files and folders section.
Then click OK and it should appear.
Best to put it back as it was when you're done.
