I just hate how everyone always sees the worst in people, I know there are a lot of people on the take out there but to assume everyone is... I don't know I just can't think like that, it's too depressing.
If that makes me easily fooled then so be it but I'd rather that than be inherently suspicious of every new person I come across!
I am not suspicious of everyone at all. It just seems a bit weird how all this seems to have been sorted after the 3k OD was paid off. If it was a couple of months and a few hundred or so pounds maybe, but twelve months and 3k...?.0 -

What are talking about? Nothing would change in the councils decision, he would still be paying back only 30% on a decent payment plan and spending the 70% on whatever he wanted.
Unless your suggesting the OP in order to appear 'decent' hatched a plan where the money was used 'unintentionally' so when the council asked him to pay back 30% he couldn't say actually i can do 100% now because i put the money aside because the money was no longer their through an 'accident'.
All this convulated machevellian plotting to come up smelling of roses when in all likelihood no one would offer the full 100% back regardless when told they only have to pay 30%!

As you can probably see from my rant above, I think some people on here have a bit too much time on their hands and like to pass judgement on others. The Council have said I only have to pay 30% back, and at £15 a month!- and I can dispute that if I want!! (although i said no, i might just do it to get peoples backs up- JOKE!)
That was a quick change of plans - it was £30 per week in your post 2 minutes earlier!
